How it works
When essential oils are inhaled, they travel through the free brain chemistry (neurotransmitters -> hormones releasing) and can cause changes in the body. Further, part of the inhaled molecules goes to the lungs, where it is absorbed into the blood through the blood-air barrier, then reaches the body where it can perform its effects.
Perform in a any sauna
Don’t bring the bottles into the sauna. They heat up and destroy the essential oils. Instead dispence your oils in ice or use small bowls with water to put them in.
12 – 15 minutes
- Pour water over the stones to cool them down. It will make the effect and fragrance of the essential oils better and they will travel faster in the sauna.
- Add Citrus reticulata (Mandarin) to the water and pour on the stones : mandarin stimulates the immunesystem and eases breathing. When having stress its pleasant fragrance helps you getting to sleep.
- Cananga odorata var. genuina (Ylang Ylang) / Citrus sinensis (Sweet orange) – 30/70 : Ylang ylang works calming and relaxing with nervos tensions. Its warm soothing fragrance in combination of sweet orange helps you getting into sleep.
- Cymbopogon martinii var. sophia (Gingergrass): its roselike friendly fragrance keeps you relaxed and ready for a good night sleep.
